"Best" quality TMPGEnc DVD templates

I've been tinkering around with this for some months now, but have more recently been settling for the standard PAL DVD templates. I'm looking for the "best" possible quality templates, for burning onto DVD.

There's some confusions as to which version of TMPGenc produces the best results, and whether CBR or VBR (1 pass/2 pass) is the preferred option. Most of my stuff is kids running about/Disneyland (i.e. lots of motion).

Do most CV users use TMPGEnc, or Lygos?

Thanks
Jez

I dont think there is any confusion, just different opinions

its like a TV sets picture,
might look great to one person and not so good to someone else.

I use TMPG v12A which I think is the best, but others disagree, as for settings I use constant quality, as i think it gives the best results, bigger file sizes though

as for templates I dont use them anymore, I manually put them in, habit I suppose, but i,m sure some nice forum member can email you a couple of templates

I'm using Avi's from a DC30+, which i encode with TMPGEnc 2.53 at CBR 8000.

The results are good, but not brilliant so if anyone has presets they're pleased with then I'd appreciate an email (jez2750545@mail.com).

Thanks
