BTS on Doctor Who - Sony FS100/700 in use?

The camera on the Steadicam looks like an FS100 or 700. There's an SDI connector which suggests the 700 but it's in the wrong place on the camera.
So perhaps there's an HDMI to SDI adaptor on the back - the Atomos adaptors use NP batteries as it happens...
 
Does anyone know what they used?
 
Perhaps the Doctor was fixing it with his sonic screwdriver...
 
 
Edit: Ooops just seen it's the 700. It's got a different grip handle attachment plate.

Seems like an odd pic, what the hell is talent doing messing with the kit?  Is it a prop? Or is this a further cut back by the BBC where the actors have to film themselves?
