I've created a small slideshow with transitions and music and want to burn a CD/DVD to play on an external player.
So far my efforts have produced a disc that plays through the pc but not the tv.
Would someone please advise the best format to suit this purpose please

Re: Burning a slideshow of stills plus music
Depends on how you've produced it so far. you need to treat it as if it was a video edit, export or save it as a master video file (probably avi), encode to MPEG2 video and PCM audio (or ac3) and burn as a DVD video disk - not a data disk. Nero would be one program that could do it, there are probably many more but I don't use PC's so I'm not up with the current offerings.

Many thanks Dave. Very helpful. I'll have a look at Nero. Best wishes,

For burning a CD/DVD try this one, and it's free. But it is not an editing programme.

Thanks Harry. It seems that my main problem is not to burn as Data but to treat the slideshow as Video.
Thanks again

Did my suggestion following your phone call work?

Re: Burning a slideshow of stills plus music
Thanks for asking Barry. Much appreciated.
Yes, am making progress with Casablanca. Forgot to mention that I've recently acquired the Magix - Movie Story Maker software.
Will try that route also.
cheers,
John

Blimey!
Casablanca takes me back. And people moan about a FAST section?
I understand that casablanca was pretty good if it was what you needed. If it ain't broke, and still works for you, keep using it
