I suppose I'd better ask again, but I can't remember the question. :)

Fortunately, I remember the answer.

It was, "no".

I remember.
It was . - Does anyone who has used the 300 and the 350D feel that that latter is a worthwhile upgrade?

Not having used either (but having read the blurb and specs), I'd say that if I were buying in that price range I'd automatically go for the 350. But if I already had a 300 I'd not consider the upgrade to be worth-while. The mere existence of the 350 drops the second-hand value of the 300 by about 50% at a guess, so it would be an expensive upgrade.
