capture stops at 1 dropped frame

when I am trying to capture video the capture stops at one dropped frame I have the latest drivers 1.5 (I think)can any one suggest a cure

I had a problem with a tape that would abort during capture via firewire. I believe that the problem was a serious error in the firewire data stream off the tape. The error was hidden in the analog video by error correction. I ended up capturing from the bad tape using analog input.
