When I try to capture a movie from a DV tape in Sony videocamera DCR-PC5E a get very often error message that no timecode found or after capturing few frames a get a message: Capture Aborted.
Longer the clip I want to capture, more often I get theses messages.
Anyone know how to solve this??

It sounds like you have timecode breaks on your tape. Every time you stopped and started the recording, it created a break in the timecode.
To avoid these timecode breaks, you need to black your tapes before you start filming. That means you record continuous timecode to the tape, by making a single recording with the lens cap on, from beginning to end. You will have recorded black to the whole tape, but with continuous timecode. This is essential if you plan to batch capture at a later stage.
To use the footage you have already got, copy it onto a pre-blacked tape so that it also has continuous timecode.

Thank you for your reply.

I thought about this problem, but I think that it s not this case.
Whole consist of one 60 minute shot with no stop at all.
I tryed all possible combinations like starting the camera before and after computer or Fast.Forward starts, changing video outpu, changing Record to tape Pre-Roll. And nothing seemed to help.

What s strange that when I try to batch capture a clip few times with error message and after that I try it once more and it suddenly works with no preferences changed.
