DV player crashing the system

Each time I use Dv player to fast rewind or forward, Dv player would crash the system. Using the manual commands on my camcorder ( Sony TRV110 NTSC)to to do the same maneuvers are OK, I can RW or FF to locate a specific spot on my tape.Is it the tape mechanism inertia which cause the break ???

I found that using Windows virtual memory cause a similar problem for me. See my note about VM in a separate thread. Although I have not domne extensive testing, disabling VM appears to have solve the problem. I will know better later this week after I do some more testing.
