I need to make a DVD for use in Denmark which I believe to be a PAL region.
Do I need to do anything special or will it work straight off??

Thanks in advance.

The Danes should have no problems playing PAL dvd's.
It should work , if it works for you in your PAL equipment.

Thanks Gary, I was pretty sure it would be ok but just wanted to check with the experts.

No problem, they broadcast 2 variants of PAL on VHF and UHF, but the only differences are in carrier spacing and luma bandwidths. All the differences are in the way the broadcast composite signal is formed. Your DVD is effectively component, so should be no problem.

Get my test cards document, and cards for 625, 525, 720 and 1080. Thanks to Gavin Gration for hosting them.
Camera settings documents are held by Daniel Browning and at the EBU
My book, 'Circles of Confusion' is available here.
Also EBU Tech.3335 tells how to test cameras, and R.118 tells how to use the results.
