DVD.Master

Hi readers,

I have a problem with a DVD.Master and would like some advice.
My system:
Athlon 1.2Ghz
IWILL KA-266 Motherboard with ALIMAGIK 1 chip set
Creative Annihilator 2 AGP video
IBM 45GB hard drive
Samsung 40GB hard drive
DVD-ROM drive
CD-RW drive
256MB RAM
Creative Dxr2 PCI MEPG2 decoder

Problem:

With the DVD.Master PCI card out, everything is OK. The normal start up sequence is first the DVD-ROM and CD-RW lights come on for a couple of seconds, Then the Nvidia VGA Bios signs on, on the display, and the Award BIOS signs on.

With the PCI card installed the BIOS won't even start. The DVD-ROM and CD-RW light up as usual, but nothing after that.

I have tried different slots, removing the Dxr2, disabling the USB and on-board, C-Media CM8738 audio without any change in the operation.

I know the DVD.Master PCI card works because I tried it in an old Intel motherboard and it booted and the card was detected.

Any insight into what might be the possible cause and the solution for this?

Kind regards,

Mike Maenner

Unfortunately, I do not think you will get much help with a DVD.Master on this forum. We do not sell DVD.Master in the UK so we are unable to support it. Also, I do not think other DVD.master users ever use this AV Master web-board, especially because DVD.Master is not even sold in the UK. You should ask for technical support from your local dealer or distributor.
