DV.now AV - 3 items

Since purchasing DV.now AV, three items have come up, and I'll put them all in here rather than in three posts. I've emailed support for all three, but have had no responses yet.

1. I received, with the package, Premier 6.0, and fast.forward 1.5 along with its SP1, and various other items. I installed Premier, then fast.forward, then atttempted SP1. For SP1, Win opened up a batch window, and outputted an error message that an "illegal instruction" was attempted. I looked at the SP1 CD-ROM, and found that the exe file on the CD was about 1-2kB in size (!). I downloaded the correct file from dazzle-europe, and applied SP1 with no problems. Has anyone informed dazzle europe that they are putting out possibly-defective CDs?

2. When I start fast.forward with a SONY (TRV11) connected to the firewire port, the program is attempting to send the dazzle logo in the "DV" window to the camera, and the camera LCD displays the logo overlayed with a blinking checkerboard pattern (about 2 per sec). Scan and capture work fine, but sending the video back to the camera gets me the same blinking pattern, and the video is recorded on the tape that way. I did speak to a service rep on this one, and the suggestion was to uninstall Premier and dazzle and re-install again. Did that. Same problem. I also e-mailed Sony and have gotten no response. A different Sony camera was tried with the same results.

3. If I scan and capture a project in fast.forward, and then export it to Premier, if I export clips to the project window AND the timeline in Premier, everything appears to work correctly. However, if I export clips to the project window ONLY, and not to the timeline, after Premier opens I get a Win error saying that "premier.exe has generated errors and will be closed...". Win creates an error log and dump and premier terminates. This process is repeatable.

My system is a 450MHz Pentium III Gateway with 256MB RAM and a 60GB Western Digital EIDE drive. Running W2k SP1.

Any thoughts?

Well, I did get a response from Sony, for what it's worth they said:

"You may wish to contact the manufacturer of the capture software you are
using to edit and send the video back to the camera. This problem can
happen when the output settings of the video or the audio are incorrect
(they do not match NTSC video settings of the camera or the proper audio
frequency has not been selected)."
