Fast Foward locking up system! Please help!

Alright here's the rundown. Everytime I try and run the fast forward software, after I've installed all the drivers and followed all the instructions, the system completely locks up on me. No way of endtasking or getting out of it, keyboard and mouse don't respond. Forced to reboot. To make it simple on whoever responds, YES, I've uninstalled and re-installed the software, the hard ware, and the drivers multiple times. I've even gone so far as to try a different PCI slot for the card. There are no IRQ conflicts, no device conflicts, and no lingering ghost drivers. Everything looks squeaky clean...until, of course, you try and run the program. I had this problem initially while running Dell's pre-load of WIN98SE so I figured I'd put WIN2K Pro on. Same issue. Oh, one more thing, just to let you guys know, I can't find a single thing to update anymore- I've exhausted all my update possibilities including both windows updates and device updates. Here are my specs.
I'm running Win2K Pro on a Dell Dimension XPSB PIII 9333mhz, 256mb RD-RAM, 133mhz Bus, 32mb GeForce 256 AGP vid card, SBLive sound card, and the rest of your generic crud- generic CDRW, ethernet card, modem.
If you can figure this out, your a better man than I. Thanks in advance.

What version fast forward are you using?

What were you doing when FF locked up? Is it analog input or IEEE1394 input or both, or did it lock before you got to that point?

When you say no IRQ conflicts is that based on the typical Windows statement of no conflicts, or is it that there is nothing else using the same IRQ as the FAST stuff?
Sounds like some of the things you have installed must be sharing an IRQ. Last I knew, DV.now AV does NOT like to share an IRQ with other hardware.

Note that users of the Dell Dmension 4100 were having problems with DV.now AV.

Hope you can resolve your issues.

Sorry, I'm using the 1.5 drivers of fast forward. As far as IRQ's go, there are a great deal of components listed on the same IRQ (9) as the capture card, but since this is Win2K I figured it could manage it better since there are other IRQ's that aren't even being used. When I switched the video card slot, it still satyed on IRQ 9 and it states there are no conflicts with any of the hardware. Any other ideas?

Hrrm...What I like to try when my capture card doesnt work, is picking up my computer, and shaking it around violently like that english babysitter shook that kid and killed it. Except for the fact that this is a computer...and you cant kill it. So that might help. Also, you might want to try and clean your capture card...ya know, soak it in soap and hot water for an hour, then plug it back in. Sometimes these things need a good cleaning. Hope it helps.

I don't do WIN2k, but I would try force the DV.now AV card to its own IRQ, separate from all the other stuff.
