Is there a software codec that will work with the M-JPEG format avis that the AV Master creates? I would like to be able to edit on a second computer while the one that has the AV Master in it is in use.
I think it must be possible to install the original drivers, and disable harware support in the options.
I haven't tried this, but it seems to be possible.
Many moons ago I remember trying the experiment of setting up a computer with an AV Master and Premiere 4.2. I then removed the AV Master card from that computer and it was still possible to edit files (captured earlier by the AV Master) on the timeline (although there was no way of rendering or outputting, of course). Scrubbing, etc, was still available.

For anyone else who may be interested, the following M-JPEG software codecs are available:

Thanks to everyone who responded to me directly!
