I have a DV.NOW AV and it drops frames,
iwas thinking about fitting a fire wire card and hard drive to solve the frame dropping
is this ok or am i just going to get yet more
trouble.
regard Howard.

Before buying a Firewire card and hard drive, try to find out what is causing the dropped frames. It could be a resource conflict, so check that DV.now AV is not sharing an IRQ. It could also be that your current hard drive is too slow, in which case I would recommend you replace it with a faster IDE hard drive, rather than a Firewire hard drive.

For what it's worth, I'm running DV.now AV under W2k, and have 10 (!) things sharing IRQ9, including the video, a network card, a modem as well as the three Fast drivers. I think W2k looks at sharing/conflict differently than other OSs.
