Channel Dynamics have just announced Firewire Hard drives for the new B&W G3 Mac's.
Nobody, however, seems able to tell me if these will work on older G3's (300MHz DTop) with a Digital Origin (Radius) Moto DV Card in it.
According to Apples Firewire support Extension, it needs "any PCI Firewire device" to be present, so I think it does work, but no one will confirm this. Any ideas please
Thanks.

Does the "nobody" include Digital Origin itself?
If so, then in your place I'd not buy a Digital Origin card without being absolutely sure.
If you can't get an answer, shout here and I'll query the man at Apple who writes the Firewire stuff!
Cheers

I don't know about the Apple drivers by my PC Moto DV card has a driver that only supports one port at a time despite tree being on the card itself. So even if a device is supported check either multiple ports are supported or that you can daisy chain the devices and that multiple devices are supported.
Strange when 1394 is supposed to be a standard that there seem to be so many compatabillity issues!
