Flood insurance.

I saw the interview referred to in this thread:

Essentially, two neighbours had wildly differing excess charges on their houses for any flood claims. One unfortunate chap was expected to pay £10K per claim, the other, Dominic Witherow, a member of this forum, was only subject to a £100 charge.

The outcome of representations to the insurers was that they both now have £2500 excesses. That's great for the £10K chap but why would Dominic want to change his £100 arrangement?
