When one uses “Delete” (or Shift-Delete) to delete a file, I understand that it is not really deleted, one only deletes its “pointer” that tell the OS where the file is. The file itself is still in the hard disk, and that is why one sometimes can recover it with the appropriate software.
What happens if instead of deleting a file, one uses the MOVE command to move it to a different disk? Is the file in its original place still recoverable as when it is deleted?
Many thanks

http://www.dvforums.com/forums/delete-vs-move#comments Chatter Mon, 02 Jan 2017 13:25:43 +0000 ernesto17 1056862 at http://www.dvforums.com Happy New year http://www.dvforums.com/forums/happy-new-year-10
An advanced 'Happy New Year' greeting to you and yours and everyone you know, and everyone that they know.

To One and all

" />

Man to Man, the world o'er,
Shall brothers be for a' that.
http://www.dvforums.com/forums/happy-new-year-10#comments Chatter Sun, 25 Dec 2016 22:22:16 +0000 Fergie 1056852 at http://www.dvforums.com Christmas Greetings. http://www.dvforums.com/forums/christmas-greetings
Merry Christmas to all you stalwarts who still visit this site.
http://www.dvforums.com/forums/christmas-greetings#comments Chatter Tue, 20 Dec 2016 21:43:41 +0000 Tony Carter 1056850 at http://www.dvforums.com
