Anyone got any comments or advice on this 4K camera? Unlikely to be used much on 4K.

Panasonic X920

Hi all,
Anyone been using a Panasonic X920?
I've got an SD900 which is used as a second camera and is an excellent little camera but I have a small steady cam and thought an X920 would be ideal to keep setup on it.

Are the extras worth the money? there are a few appearing on the used market.
Or do I get another SD900?

Any comments appreciated please?

JVC Color Issues

I recently turned on my HM700 and found the picture completely washed out, mainly yellowish-green or pinkish-purple. Have reset everything, played with white balance, looked through manual, message boards etc to no avail.

Any ideas what could be going on here?

HD camcorder for family use

Hi all,
After videoing a family christening, I've been asked by my nephew to reccomend a small, not too expensive, HD camcorder to record his grandson growing up.

He has looked at my panasonic SD900 which he likes, doesn't want to pay quite that much but wants something better than his mobile phone.

Any suggestions/reccomendations gratefully received.

HDMI cables - any recommendations?

'HDMI cables are all the same' according to the web, but I've gone through a number of cables from CPC and wondered if people might have some recommendations.

I think I've gone for their absolute cheapest and also their 'HQ' cables from ProSignal.

The cheap ones have all been binned (eventually they go for whatever reason) and the metal connectors on the 'HQ' cables have fallen off and I expect it's only a matter of time before the wires disconnect from the connector itself and they end up in the bin too!

I last speced a studio about 6 years ago.

Then, I went sony cameras, "proper" Panasonic switcher, coms system.
Cabled via HD-SDI and (now) recording on BM Hyperdeck Studio. SSD recorders.

Using a mac with internal card to digitise was a nightmare.
The Panni switcher is very fussy about the DVI input and you need to constantly coax the Macbook to agree to supply the few resolutions that the mixer will work with.
( that may be the Mac)

back in "the day", I thought I was doing good by upgrading to Hi8 video and MediaStudio Pro 7. As you can tell I've been out of the video world quite some time.
But, now I have been asked to do a video. So, I bought a HD video camera ('bout all you can buy nowdays). The program lasted about 1 hr, so now I have 3 different videos on my SD card ??????

Using Transend SD cards in Sony PMW200 with adaptors. 32GB cards are ok, but the 64GB cards I get write errors when recording. Getting ""Media needs to be restored" Could this be a card or camera issue? Not had the camera long.
