Hello

Just thought I'd post that I'm a freelancer working in the South West region (Glous, Devon, Cornwall , Bristol).

Main skills are camera operator / Avid / FCP Editor. Have own equipment and access to lighting equipment and chroma key studio. Also undertake sound recording work.

Technically very knowledgeable and able to work on multi shoot events. Currently working for ITV Westcountry as a MCR Technical Operator (Vision, Sound, Traffic).

Also able to run training sessions on Avid Media Compossor, Final Cut, Premiere and TV Studio operations.

Thanks

You did.
It's a pity i can't post pics on this forum, i could show you a pic of me when i did a part in Inkheart, it should be in the cinema soon.
It's a big production, 60 million was the budget.
Helen Miren and Brendan Fraser were also starring.

I'll send you a pic. You won't recognise me.

Paul.

Why dont we with all this talent get our heads together and make one big camera production and call the video "THE BIG SHOOT"

Ah the good old days of the iFilm Project... (or how I spent a year of my life organising and thinking about little else) :D

I'm sure there must be traces of it kicking about here :)

Anyone recently seen the media interest in some girl who got on YouTube and suggested something similar with regards to producing a 'zombie film' (original idea that one!). An interesting story with a lot of media interest... BBC4 or someone was going to be 'shadowing' her with a docu crew and basically helping her to get the project off the ground... If only I had access to the resources available now when I was trying (along with some of the members of this board - Mark? Christian? stand up and be counted!) when tryng to get that project set up in 1998/99.

Mind you with lots of TV directing experience under my belt now I realise that what I was proposing was preposterous without some kind of realistic budget. :(

Looks like 'zombie girl' will be given the chance we never were... good luck to her.

I'm not trying to do anything. It was just a idea. We have many people with cameras and all looking to make use of their equipment.
If people are passionate to work in this field and the market is limited on certain fields, why not make a group and see if the talent is there to make a decent video. besides weddings or other industrials productions. Many people are set up in the above field. But many would love to venture into other fields of video making. Sorry to say my forte is not cameras. But developing good commercial story videos. But that is a other avenue. Mine was just a idea. Not in the market to push or sell anything.
