Is there a way of specifying what image goes into a picture icon? In the past, all the wedding DVD`s I`ve authored have been done in Avid Liquid, with which I`m very familiar. For the first time we`ve edited a wedding in Edius & I`ve exported the file for use with Encore. (I`ve done some authoring before in Encore so am reasonably familiar with the basics) I have a menu which uses a picture from the timeline, showing at the point of where the particular chapter starts but I want to maintain the chapter point but change the picture that is displayed on the button. Hope that makes sense, so any help gratefully recieved.

Hi,

Yes, this is very easy.

In the timeline, double click the Chapter Point.

In the dialogue that opens - the chapter panel - you'll see that it gives you the option to set the time of the poster frame.

Scrub your timeline to find the picture you want to use, and enter the appropriate timecode.

Alternatively, if you want to use a picture from something totally different, just edit the menu in Photoshop and substitute the poster frame for the image of your choice.

Many thanks Mark! When I enter the new Poster timecode it creates a 2nd point with the same number as the chapter I`m working with then I drag the link to this new point to create the revised pic.

The easier way is to highlight the first chapter point at the beginning of the timeline, move the timeline cursor to the position where the image you want to use is located, move the mouse cursor to the highlighted chapter point, right click and select Poster Frame

Thanks Col, looks like I owe you a beer as well! That method is quicker, but at least both of you prevented massive hair loss smiley
