There is this new "Toon Boom 2D Studio" animation package (toonboom.com), designed for Broadcasting quality of web-animation productions in Flash (800x600)! Our question is: How to convert Flash into AVI in order to make our web animations available on video/DVD?

You really need to use Macromedia Director Version 8. If a flash file is loaded into director it can be saved in AVI format. I have used this in the past a couple of times. I think it will do Quicktime as well but not too sure.

Sony vegas - can drop just about anything on the timeline, including flash - render to AVI
have a google for swf2avi
there is a 30 day trial and a small fee to register. I have used it and you can use whatver codec you wish. Great little tool.
Or export swf to targa siquence with any flash editor.
