Do any of you guys use company idents at the beginning of your work? If so, I'd be interested to have a look so maybe we could see some examples here.
Hi Stuart,
Our company ident usually features at the end of work (where agreed with the customer), either in a simple black and white static version, or the nice 3D animated version. You can see that at the start of our showreel here: http://www.bigandcleverfilms.co.uk/media/bigandcleverfilms_showreel_v2007.1.wmv
I made the ident in Maya (the origin of the four blocks being as they are came about following half a bottle of red and an accidental orbit of the 3D camera!) and comped it in After Effects. I've also made a version for a Batman fan-film we're writing, with an ominous orange sky surrounded by thousands of bats! I'll try and post it sometime if anyone's interested in seeing it.

Hmm. I like that. Simple and effective.
Lots of people seem to like the Channel 4 idents but personally I find them over complex and a bit pretentious. Yours is far more appealing IMO, Christian.
Yes, but I'm not so sure about the lack of Capitalization in the company name, unless the intension is to appeal to the 'I have been texted' generation - it would put a lot of the people I know off

Hi Jerry, It was merely an artistic decision - more visually appealing to use all lowercase in that font (Eurostyle), rather than it being aimed at any particular demographic.
This is my 500th post! Go me!

Somehow, I can accept that more than spelling mistakes and bad grammar on company web sites (and there are plenty of examples of that).

Too bl**dy right!
I'm desperate for the wee man to be old enough for me to take him to the comic shop for the first time. Absolutely love superhero stuff, and he seems to be a chip off the old block.
Post when you can. ;)
:) Okay, I'll post in a new thread so as not to totally hijack Stuart's thread! Just got to find it amongst my hard drives now!
