Importing a seperate project to Premiere 6.5

I'm editing a Golden Wedding video. As part of the job, in a separate project, I've scanned in lots of the couple's old photographs. All with linking fades and other adjustments etc. and and their favourite music repeated a couple of times. (The rendering of this project took over an hour) It took me several hours till I was satisfied. Saved the project.

On importing this Photo project into the Golden Wedding project all the fades and adjustments had gone - just leaving the photos without even the aspect ratio of the pics retained, and only one section of the music remained. I've repeated this a couple of times to no avail.

Frustrating!! Any ideas and suggestions please.

I think that you always have to render an imported project to get the transitions and effects, as the preview files are not imported with the project.

If you are sure that you have finished editing the project to be imported, you could export it as an avi and then import that to your main project.

Thanks Alan,
As I get older and think I know it all, I find I forget things I knew years ago . . . Fool I am! Yes, of course I have to save it as an avi then import it back.
Delay in replying as I couldn't log in to the board all morning.
Thanks again. Pete
