Can I ask you guys to have a look at my links page and see of there are any major links I've missed off or any other suggestions. I don't want to fill it with irrelevant links or competitors.

Many thanks.

Hi Claire,

Well you have DV Doctor, so it must be complete.;)

I notice that the links open on the same web page.
It is normal - and good practice - for links outside your website to be on a new web page.
Otherwise surfers may not find you again.

When you navigate to a link, you can often navigate 'back' via the browser.
Your 2nd link 'TV cases' re-inforces my point - 'back' doesn't work (due to their web site set up), so a potential client may be lost.

Hi Claire,

The APV stands for 'Association of Professional Videomakers', not 'Videographers'... :D

You might want to revise the spelling of "Professional Organsations" too :)

I would also suggest...

Aaduki aaduki.co.uk under 'insurance'
and
Production Gear productiongear.co.uk under 'Video Equipment Dealers'

Hi Claire,

Nice site - easy to navigate and very comprehensive indeed. I went and looked at the duplication page and immediately saw 6 apostrophes that shouldn't be there. Plurals don't have apostrophes - 1 dog, 2 dogs, OK?

With a site that size it's worth checking all the pages. :)

tom.

Is 'Alan' mis-spelt?

You might want to include a link to my test cards stuff, see my sig.

Get my test cards document, and cards for 625, 525, 720 and 1080. Thanks to Gavin Gration for hosting them.
Camera settings documents are held by Daniel Browning and at the EBU
My book, 'Circles of Confusion' is available here.
Also EBU Tech.3335 tells how to test cameras, and R.118 tells how to use the results.

Claire - this panel:

looks strongly like a site top-level menu, and I clicked on the words, expecting to be taken to the relevant section of your site. Might be an idea to implement this?

Hi Claire, under 'Editing Systems':

Is it a personal issue that's seen Adobe Premiere Pro left out of this list? :) Sony Vegas should also get a look in really.

The link to 'Digital Video Computing' has two sets of 'www' s in it.

Can I personally recommend Planet PC (http://www.planetdv.net) as an editing system supplier. First class kit, excellent pre and post sales support and a very wide range of products (they also sell used kit).

Under 'Forums' I'd suggest linking to the Creative Cow (http://www.creativecow.net) - an enormous resource for just about every piece of software ever made for the visual side of things - the tutorials are on the whole excellent.
