Hi matzilla92,

You sent me a PM - unfortunately you have set your user settings so as not to receive any PMs, so the system will not let me reply to you.

So - below is your question and my answer.

Cheers,

John

Hiya, sorry to bother you, but i have just joined and needed urgent help about frequencies.

I just purchased a Sennheiser EW100 (Transmitter and receiver) (not sure whether it is G1 or G2 though) with a frequency 830 - 866 MHz and i was just wondering if i would be able to use this mic legally without purchasing a license and if so how would i go about setting it to the correct settings?

Thanks

Hi,

Yes, you *can* use it legally in the UK without a licence - providing it is set to the licence-free frequencies.

Does it have a PP3 battery (G1) or two AA batteries (G2)?

The G1 had the licence-free frequencies set as standard. The Owners Manual is HERE.

On G2 the licence-free frequencies are the first four frequencies in memory bank 8 - so all you have to do is to set it to bank 8. The Owners Manual is HERE.

The frequencies are:- 863.1, 863.5, 864.3 & 864.9 MHz (if I remember correctly).

Thanks for that, I cant check the batteries at the moment as it has not yet arrived, however im guessing it is a G1 as from the image i seen the screen moniter on the transmitter is smaller and thinner than what ive seen on G2 models.

As i bought this from ebay, im guessing the settings which have been fiddled with, but i take it the frequencies will be easy enough to change?
