Can anyone tell me the best way to get that old movie/Harry Enfield Chomondley-Warner spoken dialogue sound effect using standard FCP 7 audio filters?

So far I've taken the 3 Band Equalizer and wound out all the low/mid frequencies and boosted the high, but it's still not quite there yet.

Suggestions anyone?

I would have thought you need to take out low/high, and boost the mid? And add some white noise and crackling.

As an example, to get the suggestions coming in, look here:

(It made me laugh, so I've posted it. :) )

you need a graphic - a 3 band has a very gentle rolloff - you need to start with 300-3K and then tweak what's left.

Yes take off the top and bottom and make it narrow band at around 1k.

I have loads of filters and plug in's to do this on pro tools but not for FCP if you cant get it can you upload the audio you need doing and I can process it for you.

Do you need crackles as well as they are best added as a sep track so you can control them, what this is simulating is an optical film sound track that has very limited bandwidth and any dust comes out as a crackle etc.
