Well, i'm a bit surprised that Apple did not announce anything in the field of editing software. From iMovie to FCP-X.
As most major video companies and editing companies demonstrated new products, any ideas why the low profile from Apple?.
It frightens me to think that Apple have abandon FCP7 and the MAC PRO and i get the feeling a new software version of FCP-X could be on the horizon.
I think APPLE have revolutionised the computer industry specially the editing software market. Looking back over the years a lot of money was made by having to update computer and editing software.
Makes me wonder if a projector and movie film was cheaper??????
Is not like APPLE not to make a show at NAB or is it?.

Re: NAB-LAS VEGAS.
Apple said way back in 2008 - No more Trade Shows.

Re: NAB-LAS VEGAS.
AFAIK the MacPro isn't abandoned (although I wouldn't be surprised.)
You can't buy one in the EU because there was a new law that limited power to be available through USB.
I'm sure that it's not beyond the wit of Apple to add something easy to EU spec machines (or worldwide)
I have no idea how much Apple is over the EU limit but AFAIK you can buy a Macpro in Switzerland and fly home with it.
Are the Channel Islands in the EU? I guess so

Thank you Dave.F. I guess Apple dont need the small man in the street. Unless he or she uses iPhone or iPad.

Re: NAB-LAS VEGAS.
Build a Hackintosh. It's (relatively) easy, cheap and faster than a Mac!
I gave up waiting for Apple last year and got on with it. Haven't looked back.

Correct, Dave.
With Apple's lack of show at such events it gives the likes of Samsung a lower chance and taking longer to copy . . .

How much did your Hackintosh cost, Duncan?
