HELLO
Hi, I am Steve from the North east ( UK ).
I am pretty new to cams..I have a Sony vx1000e that I do like and I am hoping to get good at taking movie clips.
I do have some clips out there now BUT they might be classed as a bit extreme for some members. I do pest control for a living and I decided to do some footage to build a DVD that will show the type of work I do.
The DVDs will be for sale..they will cover Rabbit control using rifles, shotguns, ferrets and nets. I also train and work spaniels and was hoping to get a bit of that on as well.
The only thing is that I am not normally behind the camera as I have to be behind the scope so that the job gets done.
All footage is legal, humane and safe but some members might not want to see the content so I think it might be best to introduce and explain myself before I post links to sample footage.
Thanks Steve
Hi and welcome. Most members are happy to encourage the skills involved in the making of all types of videos.
I for one wouldn't wish to view any animal being 'controlled' (killed) for whatever purpose. Wether legal or not.

Thanks for the reply.
Thats why I did not post any links just in-case it was a sensitive subject for some members.
Regards Steve
A wise man. Maybe the training of spaniels videos would help give us an insight into your video skills. :)
Hi Fieldsports.
Good to have you onboard. I have a 1,000 acre shoot on the glorious North Cornwall coast. A couple of clips taken on the shoot can be seen here. http://www.vimeo.com/3929985 I have trained and worked Springers for nearly 40 years, great, willing workers. It would be a sad days shooting without these guys around. I would be interested to see some of your clips. Could you PM me a link ?. Thanks a lot.
heyo Steve. Greets & welcome
I see no problem with linkages to the footage. You've been very clear about what the content is, and like anything else on the web, if people don't want to see it, they don't have to click it.
:)
pest control huh?
My g/f is a vegan (which if you don't understand is so hardcore that honey is a no-no)
Yet her brothers both run pest control companies. Go figure!
Hi Steve.
First you must ask yourself is this a product people want to buy?.
Before you get to heavy involved, way up were people live and who do you wish to sell the product too. Country people or town people.
I think it is a wonderful idea. If it is done properly.
