Chaps, I just came across this site (recommended in another web board). I've only just peeked at it, so I'm not recommending it, just saying that it's there. It seems to have a lot of useful advice.

Can I be cheeky and add another one? Just in case new members haven't come across this site yet...

Not very pretty but loads of good technical data on DV formats.

Thanks for that Alan. I'm always on the lookout for new web-sites to add to my list. Haven't had a chance to look round it in detail yet but the bookstore area is very good.

Andy, are you hinting that you're compiling some sort of formal list of good sites? If so, does Bob C or Pete W know about this? If not, why not?

Bugger, spot on, that's my erratic fingers again.

Get my test cards document, and cards for 625, 525, 720 and 1080. Thanks to Gavin Gration for hosting them.
Camera settings documents are held by Daniel Browning and at the EBU
My book, 'Circles of Confusion' is available here.
Also EBU Tech.3335 tells how to test cameras, and R.118 tells how to use the results.

- Only just noticed your response. Not a formal list but I have a dedicated section on my browser favourites called "video" which is further sub-divided into things like "Forums" - which is where this webboard sits, "Info" which is where is a mixture of sites like the one above and single page links containing useful information - although I tend to save those off-line now, "Suppliers" and so on. I assumed everyone did something similar.

OK, I just assumed you were doing something more formal. Silly of me really
