I would like to get back into video editing having tried it a few years ago when the K6-2 first came out!
I am looking at upgrading an exisiting AMD 2800 system or building a new AMD based system?
So building it from the ground up- case (heat?) / motherboard / memory / cpu / graphics (all in wonder?) / hard drive etc etc
Anyone's thoughts would be appreciated.
Have a look at a few reputable system builders ( ones who make dv edit systems ) and see what they are making
i.e.
www.dvc.uk.com
www.creativevideo.co.uk
www.red-submarine.co.uk
www.sirentechnology.co.uk
That will tell you what is stable , or they wouldn't be selling them.
If you can build cheaper , good , although not sure if you can , or if you won't have problems working out which slot some cards need set up in to work most efficiently.
I will research the sites. Thanks.
I have a DV card and had considered whatever the newest all-in-wonder is?
However, the comments so far suggest that is not an ideal route!!
