Hi,
I made some improvements on the server side and the site appears to be running a lot quicker. Let me know if you see anything odd.
Cheers,
Martin
Hi Martin
The only issue I've had was having to log back in a couple of times, all seems OK now
Thanks
I still have to log in every day or after reboot, where it was automatic before. Can live with it but strange.
Same here and twice I have been prevented from posting.
Hi Peter
I've unpublished your post now, I have no idea why it was prevented, hopefully Martin can investigate now you've highlighted the issue and see if there are any more held back by other members

I just assumed it was a glitch after having to log back in. It seems to be resolved now as I can reply. I wonder if it is to do with always having to log in?
Now all we need is some passing traffic. It looks like the A5 in 1965 here.
I had the session cache and the page cache in the same place. So it was expiring the sessions when it expired the pages (~1 day). I've split the session cache from the page cache, so the logins should last as long as they did before (~21 days).
As for Tricky's post being caught, it's likely that is just the aggressive anti-spam measures we use. It is an inexact science, so there will be false-positives and vice versa (true-negatives?!). If it is catching "good" posts too often, let me know and I can tweak the settings.

Sounds like 'Akismet', it can be temperamental.
Hi Tricky
It was my error that I failed to spot your post as the moderation queue can hold suspect posts in two locations, location one is easy to spot, I wasn't in the habit of checking location two so often, I am now
FYI the spam filter knocks out 95% of spam posts and holds about two or three suspects a week, unfortunately you were caught in the spam trap for no apparent reason that I could see
PM me if you have any more trouble posting and that goes for anyone else with similar problems
Cheers
Many thanks John, to be honest I was just trying to start a bit of debate but as it happens no one really joined in. :)

Many thanks Martin! As from today, I didn't have to sign in as I did every day before. Looks like the sign in is solved.
Thanks again,
