Playing through HDMI

Having got a new computer with an ATI HD 4350 card and a HDMI connector how do I get streamed, downloaded or DVD video to come out of the HDMI connector? I know it should come out from a video editing program but do I have to set anything for other sources?

If you connect a second monitor or tv to the HDMI port , you should be able to tell a media player program to output to that ''monitor''.
You need to check the info that came with the graphics card drivers.
