Hi Guys

Currently using recording at FAT 1080 / 50i using sd cards.

Any picture quality improvements in changing to 1080 / 25p

Thanks

Re: PMW 200 settings

Hi Mike.
When I bought my PMW200S I did a few test shoots in UDF and Fat using sxs-1 cards. Went for Fat in the end cos fit more on cards!  Again i did test shoots in interlace and progressive. My personal preference was the look of the shots using 1920 x 1080 50i over the 24p but you'll find lots of people now advocating shooting progressive! My advice is to go out and do some test filming - a bit of both, and see which you prefer.

Re: PMW 200 settings

Thanks John.
I've always shot 1920/1080 50i.  Just notice that some guys prefer 25p. Could be
because they are shooting for mp4 export for you tube and ipads.

Have tried shooting 25p but it looks to be strobing in viewfinder when panning
although it looks ok on pc when editing.

I don't know why one would shoot interlaced any more unless one was outputting for viewing on an interlaced display... like a CRT TV. And not even my elderly parents have one of those any more....
