In Premiere Pro 2 what is the best export setting for a video clip that's to be inserted to FaceBook.

Cheers.

Hi Robert

Have a look at  this.

Don't know about PP 2 as I use CS6 but there doesn't seem to be any that can't be uploaded.

Hope both you and the good lady are well.

  Hi Harry.
Good to hear from you and hoping that you are both in good health. (gave you call but no reply)

You certainly gave me food for though with that link. tried quite a few of them but some of them took a long time to load while others did not fill the screen after downloading and others gave a poor quality picture.
I noticed that I could upload MP4 but neither of my editing programs will capture MP4 (Premiere 2 & Ulead VideoStudio 11) and that's anoying because my new stills camera shoots video in MP4.

Back to the drawing board.

Hi Fergie
Perhaps you should consider something in the Magix range of editing programmes. I have used various versions for the best part of 20 years and always been happy with them. Currently have Video Pro X on the desktop and Movie Edit Pro 2016 on my main laptop. Both handel MP4 but from memory you need to just do an on line activation when you use MP4 the first time. Mostly I am using Video Pro X and only the laptop when I am away from home. The smaller screen is less suited to my elderly eyesight now.  Incidently I am pretty sure you can download a trial. I have just been doing that with their music edit software.

Fergie , AVIDEMUX will convert from and to MP4 at good quality
It is free , just need to download it.

How big a video do you need to convert to mp4 ?
Could you send it to my Gmail account ?
I could convert it for you , then give you the instructions to enable it to be done at your end from then on.

Re: Premiere Pro 2 Export

Gary.. Thanks for the link.  I downloaded the AVIDEMUX and it's converting my MP4 files to AVI quite quickly.
I will try other formats when I have a better understanding of how it works.
Don't have a lot of MP4 files to convert at the moment just what has been filmed on my new EOS M3 camera.
I used it to record a project that I was doing in my shed and realised that I couldn't convert the files.
I finished the project using a Panasonic camcorder.
Thank you for your offer to convert some files for me smiley

..Harry.  Believe it or not..I have forgotten the name of the program you suggested.  Again.  ..  sad

Cheers all.

Thanks Harry.
It was only the first part of the word that I had forgotten, and the second half.

I had the word 'break' in mind and tried tea break, dinner break and even wee break but failed to come up with the correct combination.
