Hi guys,

I'm looking for a SCSI card for our MacPro. It seems that there aren't many PCI Express SCSI cards that are compatible with the Apple OS. The only one I've found so far is the Atto UL4D. Are there any other cards out there?

I'm selling my original G5, UL4D card and my Huge 1.2TB RAID.

You need the UL5D, or do what most people do, make an internal RAID, or an eSata RAID.
Also, have you tried ethernet storage, are you working uncompressed or something?

Duncan.

How much do you want for the UL4D? And would you sell it separately?

We've acquired an Infotrend Eonstor that has SCSI. The drives in it are SATA but array connection is SCSI. We'd buy a bare enclosure and put the SATA drives in that but the ones I've seen from G-Tech and Lacie all come populated with drives.

I supposed I could split it. I'm also selling my AJA IO and it's great to show the whole suite spitting out uncompressed video at <300MB/s.

The difficult with splitting the UL4D from my RAID is then proving to a buyer the RAID is working. Assuming they come in person of course... Um. um.

I might split it up, depends on your offer I suppose.

Hi Duncan,

It might be worth us having a chat over the phone if that's okay. We might be interested in some of the other bits you're selling and we're based in Leeds.

Do you want to send me a PM with your number?

Cheers

Mark
