Using Transend SD cards in Sony PMW200 with adaptors. 32GB cards are ok, but the 64GB cards I get write errors when recording. Getting ""Media needs to be restored" Could this be a card or camera issue? Not had the camera long.

First thing to consider is whether your camera supports 64GB cards! Suggest you check the specs! I had a problem a few years back when visiting Rome, a still camera "lost" quite a few pics & then I found out that it didn`t support the size card I was using. A guy at the now defunct London Camera said that card technology advances faster the camera technology! Just a thought.
Thanks Barry. Also been reading that people have had problems with SD cards for some time. Could be a batch of bad cards.
Also read that you have to be careful with the PMW200, that after record pause, you wait till the red light goes green before pressing
record again, or camera may be trying to record at the same time as finishing writing the last file, and can cause errors. Difficult to
check a red light all the time during a wedding where guests are coming at you from all angles.
Hopefully, someone will have some suggestions here, as I can get 4 hours out of a 64GB card, but only 2 hours on a 32GB. But can't
take the risk of loosing someone's wedding footage. The alternative of SxS cards is just not affordable.
you may find that 2 x 32 is cheaper than 1 x 64?
you always have the risk that if a 64 dies, then all your files are lost, whereas 2x cards 50% is still available?
as an aside, muy iMac just stopped seeing the sd card slot and it turns out that sandisc cards bend something and the microswitch sticks.
so use a non conductive probe and jiggle the microswitch.
Just tested my 64GB cards with the new card adaptors, and so far no problems. Final check tomorrow at wedding. Fingers crossed have found the solution.
Update.
Recorded wedding yesterday on same 64GB SDXC card using new e-films MxR Extreme Expresscard Adapter, which is made for SDXC as well as SDHC. No record errors. So looks like SONOS ADHC SD adaptor I was using was not compatible with SDXC cards.
I used a SandDisk Extreme 16gb in my Canon XA10 over the weekend at a Gig and what would've been the best clip so far as the band was concerned was spoilt by a missing two second section at the beginning of the clip, and I've now heard that SandDisk is not as good as the Transend cards . . . Oh well.
Did you start recording late Ron, or are you saying the file is missing?
Cards have different classes / speeds. I always use the faster class 10.
