I have a short length of 75 ohm tv coax fitted with phono plugs, I believe this is the impedance needed for HD SDI cables?
If I fit BNC adapters to the phono plugs will it work to connect my EX1R's HDI output to my computer?
The computer has a Storm 3G card that accepts SDI input but I don't have such a special SDI cable at hand. If my DIY cable works I am hoping to use the waveform meter and vectorscope in Edius.. LIVE! EX1R pointing out of window, fiddle with profiles, watching the meters in Edius for highlight clipping, black level, chroma, etc.

Re: SDI cable question
Yes it will be fine, if you need any longer cheap BNC cables e-bay has loads of them.
