IGN & Twentieth Century Fox have a contest running until May 22nd to promote the film Chronicle which could be of interest.  
 
Tying in with the themes of the film they are challenging filmmakers to submit a 30-90 second film on the subject of the extraordinary for the chance to win a Digital SLR Camera set-up (Canon Digital SLR camera, zoom lens and portable audio recorder) and  a trip to LA to meet Chronicle Director Josh Trank.

Yes it is, but notice the date of the post you comment on. I suspect the contest closed in May 2012.
