Hi all.

When is there a replacement due for this camera,as I would like to buy it for the summer and I don't want it to be sold out?

Thanks in advance.

Panick over.I've bought one before it's too late.

It's got everthing I want in a point and shoot camera.

Everytime I switch the camera on,the flash has switched itself off.I've been through all the menus and tried everything. The factory default is auto, but I can't get it to stay on this.I'll have to take it back to Jessops and see what they can do.

Anybody know whether this is normal?Obviously it shouldn't be.

Jessops say it would seem to be normal now,to save power,as another new camera is the same.Looks like the instruction book just hasn't been changed.

Does anyone know who has stock of the mains adapter and Lithium battery pack,as I can't find one anywhere?

I've bought a P50 now and it's great,apart from the battery life.

Can I use the same mains adaptor and battery pack from the US,if I buy it from an American web-site,as they seem to be the same spec?

I would be careful about buying from the US. You are likely to get stung with all sorts of duties for importing plus handling charges from the Post Office. Make sure that the initial cost saving covers this. It was a somewhat different situation but I ended up saving less than a pound on half a dozen CDs that initially looks like a major bargain.

I mentioned getting the mains adaptor and battery pack from the US,as there doesn't seem to be any stock of them over here. They are about £100 for the two in Britain.

Are they the same spec?

Anyone!

This reminds me of the old Monty Python 'Bruce' sketch! Keith - you should change your name to Wayne to stop confusing us!

It’s not worth getting a charger for anything from the USA as they use 110V and non-compatible mains sockets.

Batteries are a different matter – but (unless it is a US product) the shipping costs and import duties are likely to outweigh any savings.

So did I.I thought I'd perservere though,as everyone was tied up with that Kodak business and I'd thought you'd like my autobiography.Good job I've got a sense of humour.
