hi there

I am trying to add time code to a dvd I am producing . It is voxpops and i need to be able to have the client to be able to tell me what bits he needs kept in from the raw footage.
I added in the time code effect to the clip before I render it and it seems to be working fine I can see it in Vegas and in DVD architect but when the dvd is prooduced it is not showing on my dvd player. Any ideas. I am in real stum with this.

Thanks

if you can see t on your preview window an in DVD-A then I can see no reason why a DVD player would show it as it is burned in.

is it within the safe area for titles, in case the TV screen zoomed in a bit and so off the screen, is it 4:3 or 16:9?

Can you see it if you play the DVD in the PC?

ok so I don't know Vegas and don't know how used to it you are but.....
are you adding BITC or asking Vegas to show you TC?

I only ask because I had a similar oproblem ages ago and realised that I ws getting the edit package to display TC rather than adding it to the video.

I am adding it as an effect. My feeling is that if I can see it in the dvd architect then I should be able to see it on the finished DVD . It might be teh case that it is outside the safe area but I doubt it.

Hi Cheema
No I can't see the time code in the media player either. Doing some work for Diageo Ireland would you believe.

Can you sent me a VEG file with some generated media and the TC on it so I can try it out for you, there should be no reason it is no there if you have burned it onto the video

Or a small MPEG of your clip so I can try in DVD-A and see if I get the same as you...

Another thought is DVD-a set to the correct format that Vegas is set to , eg 16:9 PAL...
