PRESS RELEASE

Nattress launches Standards Conversion for Apple's Final Cut Pro

Ottawa, Canada, 25, November 2003. Following the success of Film Effects, Nattress releases Standards Conversion, a new set of plugin filters for Apple's Final Cut Pro video editing software.

Standards Conversion comprises a unique pair of filters that will convert your video clips between any of the standards of 24p, PAL and NTSC. To produce a smooth, good looking standards conversion in Final Cut Pro was thought to be impossible, but after extensive research a new approach has proved itself successful.

Standards Conversion will change the frame rate of your clips to either 23.98, 24, 25 or 29.97 frames per second to match with Film, PAL or NTSC video, and carefully scale the video, if necessary to the correct pixel dimensions, taking into account the interlaced nature of video. The plugin filter provides two choices in PAL to Film conversion and five methods of converting NTSC video to Film, all using the smart de-interlacing technology from Film Effects where necessary.

Standards Conversion is now available for sale at $100US from www.nattress.com
