I am getting an error on startup
CMOS checksum error- Defaults loaded
When I enter the bios setup, the date is set as wed jan 01 2003
I have to keep re setting the date everytime I startup.
Any ideas? Please

I suspect that you need to replace the battery mounted on your motherboard. This maintains BIOS settings and once it goes the errors you are seeing are typical.

Sometimes leaving the PC on for a long time will re-charge the battery if it is non removable.

Thanks for the help. The battery is replaceable so will try that.
Thanks again.
