Anyone attempted this or can point me in the right direction?

Ask at the EOS forums or in the Canon forum on ePhotozine. I've never heard of anyone doing it.

Why if you don't mind me asking?

Not I, fellow 'tog has allowed his to get a drenching once too often and it has been deemed beyond repair. Apparently they are worth £25 scrap or spare parts so he figures he may as well open it up and strip it down. May learn something about what's corroded and where for future prevention (yes, I know he should have bought a Storm jacket and I know he's bonkers :-) . Also being gadget mad he wants to see how they are put together.

But you can delete the duplicates if you want to. As a Moderator, I can do it anyway, but there's no reason why you shouldn't.

Get my test cards document, and cards for 625, 525, 720 and 1080. Thanks to Gavin Gration for hosting them.
Camera settings documents are held by Daniel Browning and at the EBU
My book, 'Circles of Confusion' is available here.
Also EBU Tech.3335 tells how to test cameras, and R.118 tells how to use the results.
