This is a video about a one-day Strongman competition in which four women competed.

All comments and criticism are welcome as usual, but my biggest problem and concern was keeping it interesting throughout. Does it hold interest for the entire 8 minutes 30 seconds? If not, where does it fail? Where are the slow spots, if any?

Thanks in advance!

...BEST VIDEOGRAPHER OF ALL TIME!!! - Time - time - time (echo)

because no one had anything negative to say about the clip? ;-)

It's not a subject I would wish to watch, so wouldn't be a good judge.

Dave, I assume you are a photographer or a videographer or an editor of some kind because of the website within your post. If so, are you saying that you can't objectively evaluate a clip for content, style, pacing, camerawork or the many other esthetic criteria that we apply to our work, without being interested in the subject itself? I find that disappointing.

I have helped critique videos on kite flying, skateboarding, gansta rap (my most unfavorite style of music) and a horror movie homage, to name a few. None of those topics are appealing to me, yet I am proud to say that I feel that I was still able to provide some insight to the creator of the piece...possible MORE insight because of my "outsider's" viewpoint.

In a broader sense, why not take every opportunity to widen your experiences? Are you sure that you know what you will encounter when you watch this clip? Could you be wrong? Might there be something new or interesting that you didn't anticipate?

I'm not trying to convince you to watch my clip, I'm not that vain, but as a philosophy of life I find your statement to be a bit lame. It just seems a very limiting way to live one's life, especially for someone in the arts, as I assume you are.

Don't take it personally.
If you have a problem I'd try to help.
I am not a service to judge.. I am here in my free time - so I only look at what takes my fancy.
I only replied as you were surprised at lack of response.

There aren't enough hours in the day!

Good points, all.

And I wasn't taking it personally, just a little surprised that's all.

Hi Mike,

I have watched it all the way through and thoroughly enjoyed it. No, i am no fan of the sport....but one can appreciate the editing style and voiceover. I personally thought that the pace was right and it was a very professional production. Not saying any of this just to be kind...i actually thought it was excellent with only one gripe! which has nothing to do with your filming style and is only subject to my personal opinion.

You used a few slide wipes....i hate them...ha:) .....thats all.

Well done.

Guess what? I don't like them either! It's one of the two things I would now change if I were to go in and re-edit the piece.

Thanks for your feedback about the pacing. I was extremely uncertain about it as I was editing.
