Someone on another message board stated that the Studio DC10+ was practically the same card as the DC30+ and would act as a DC30+ with the appropriate drivers.
Is this BS or genuine?
I'm thinking about upgrading my capture card so I'd really like to know.

I have DC10+, I believe that the DC 30 has onboard sound facilities rather than using your soundcard where you can lose lipsync on long renders (DC10+ uses your soundcard). Also s/ware bundle is bigger. Visit pinnaclesys.com, they have a very good support page.
I think you will find it closer to the DC20.
Pinnacle is pretty clever in segmenting products and having hardware locks etc.
The technical capture spec as you can see is not identical SO I think you are asking for trouble.
