DV Now AV (the one with Premiere 6) is delivered currently with Ligos LSX-MPEG plugin that does not support SVGA. Is there going to be an update possibility?? I was rather disappointed to find out the plugin version.
DV.now AV will be bundled with LSX-MPEG Encoder 1.2 for Adobe Premiere. It has the same functionality and features as the standalone LSX-MPEG Encoder 3.0. As far as we know, there is no newer version of LSX-MPEG for Premiere available.

Quote from www.ligos.com
"LSX-MPEG Plug-in for Adobe Premiere: The Plug-in provides users the abilities and quality of the Encoder 3.5 -- incorporated into Adobe's popular digital video editing software. Now with Super VCD (SVCD) export options"
I do not what version this plugin is. 2.0 ??
It is hard to tell what is the version I received, but the readme files talk about ver 1.1 and thaht the plugin is not SVCD capable.
So .. Would you see that new plugin version from Ligos would be available for DV Now AV
I checked the "About" tab of the ligos plugin and it says ver 1.1
... and the latest Ligos plugin (I loaded the demo from ligos website) has version 1.2 and supportts SVCD.
It seems that the plugin in my brand new package was not the latest one. If Dazzle is bundling the SVCD capable version 1.2 with DV.now AV / Prem 6 then everything is ok. I have to get now the correct version as an extra excercise.
I have been tracking this myself (See Ligos Version). I believed that the latest bundle software will be able to do SVCD but that will not be available until June according to the Press Release.
Here... Grab these LSX SVCD profiles from my FTP
ftp://209.187.141.114:21/LSX_SVCD.zip
Extract them into your "Adobe\Premiere 5.1 (or 6.0)\Settings" directory. Then when you are ready to export your timeline choose "LSX Mpeg 1 or Mpeg 2" then click "Load" and load the profile you want (That being SVCD NTSC or PAL).
Enjoy!
Thank you Mike for those files.
