Editing Premiere Pro CS5. File list is displayed on D: drive.

What keys are recommended  to transfer files to the Premiere Pro CS6 Project Bin and then, in bulk,  to the timeline?

Using the Ctrl key, held down, appears to produce many duplicates on both D: drive and in the project bin display..

Re: Use of keyboard

Hi Les

If the folder is open and you do a CRTL+ A this will select all files in the folder.  Just drag them across to the Project bin.  Hope you are keeping well.

Hi Les

In the Project Double Click on the Bin with the clips you want to move to the Timeline. This will open up the Bin in a separate window. Do a CRTL+A which will highlight all the clips in that bin. In the top Left Hand corner you will see text which lets you know how many clips are selected. Left Click on the First Clip remembering to keep the mouse button down and drag to your Timeline.

Re: Use of keyboard

Hi Les

Once you select the files you want to put on timeline
Use the icon at bottom right of folder "Automate to timeline"
Using this, you can also add a default transition to the clips.

Re: Use of keyboard

Thank you Harry and Mike. That worked very well. Just one more question please.

I would like to capture the contents of a DVD made before my using CS6.

Place a DVD in the drive - right click and select open.

Two short lines of text etc are displayed.

Import into Premiere. Place on timeline (One or two complete strips of video).

Removing the DVD from the computer drive - all clips are red.and not useable.

No way of saving can be seen. Procedure is therefore incorrect.

The complete correct procedure would be much apprecdiated.

Hi Les

You need to copy the VIDEO TS folder from the DVD to your PC
and import to Premiere from the PC

Re: Use of keyboard

That's assuming it is a DVD Video disk.

If it's just a data disk, copy whatever files you want from the DVD to PC
and import to Premiere from PC.
