Video is Corrupt when outputing to DV Camcorder

I posted this in the dazzle-bcastvideo forums, & I thought that I'd through it out here for maximum exposure..

When outputting DV from the DV.Now AV to a firewire camcorder, I get severe image distortion. It appears as though the whole display is layered in black, & random puzzle pieces are removed from the black layer revealing the video. This corruption only occurs when outputting via DV, Analog is perfect.

Here is what I've tried..
Removing all other PCI cards, swapping slots, reinstalling OS (Win2k), using other DV port on DV.Now AV, using a different cable, and using another camcorder.

Please help!

Thanks,
BTH

"Anyone? Anyone?"

BTW, three slaps with a wet noodle, if you can name what movie this line from.

Hint: The girl from Dirty Dancing starred in this movie.

Brandon,

I was having exactly the same problem with my DV.now card. Capture was perfect but when I tried to output to DV, I was getting the same blocky picture you described.

The only part of my system possibly not up to the job was my graphics card, a Matrox Mystique with 4Mb of memory. Upgrading the drivers made no difference.

I have now upgraded to a Hercules 3D Prophet II MX 32Mb with TV out, based on NVIDIA's Geforce 2 MX chip and this has cleared up all my problems and its working a dream.

Hope this helps.

I don't think that my problem is graphics card related, as I've got a 64mb Hercules Geforce 2 GTS Ultra.. Maybe the drivers?

Thanks for the help though, you have atleast given me a direction to go.
