Hi, has anyone here had any luck contacting visual bride lately.
first cause for concern was when i uploaded a new video to replace the really old ones and then emailed them to ask how i could get the old ones down.
I never got a reply and the new video has never appeared.
telephoned them and left a message....no reply
emailed support direct three times..no reply.
used the contact us support form...no reply...
I have just written to cancel my subscription
any one else had any contact..cheers

I had very similar problems with Visual Bride.

2 years ago, I too wrote to them to cancel but never received a reply and my video and details are still on there.

I still get the very rare enquiry via them but if I log in to view the enquiry, I first have to pay the previous 2 years subscription to access it.

I wonder how many of the advertisers are actually still REAL customers?

Thanks for the useful update.
I've had several referals from visual bride and thought all was ok until I tried to upload a new video.
Oh well. They have lost another customer.
and got plenty of bad press.
Thanks again for the useful info.

same story here: ages ago wanted to add three clips but they added only one. Emailed numerous times but never had any response.

Eventually wrote in to cancel subscription, but again no response and details still on there. Luckily for me, this coincided with my credit card expiring so just stopped paying. The annoying thing is when the admittedly very rare enquiry does come in I can't access it and therefore can't reply so it makes me look unprofessional. I also can't remove my details and, like everybody else, can't get a response, either. Guess we're stuck...

I suspect they dont operate any more and are just taking in the subscriptions.. well mine is cancelled.. warning to others on here not to go near them is appropriate I suspect.

well i have just posted a special offer on my advert on their site, book direct through my web site only to receive an offer and in my details I have refered everyone direct to my web site, lets see how long that stays up before the y get in touch with me......:D perhaps then they will reply to my requests to remove the videos and cancel my subscription

I cancelled a few years ago, but my details are still up there. I always thought it funny that clients could access your website, but only enquired via VB

I've requested cancellation too - last month and what do I find that they've taken another card payment for the next 30 days  We've found that enquiries - which were good when we first joined and visits have seriously dropped to zero and at £180 per year it's money I'd rather save! If only they'd cancel the darn card - we don't want the hassle of ordering new cards.

I'm writing to them once more (see if that will do any good) then I shall probably get in touch with someone over at the IOV who has sorted something similiar like this before! It's not good though for them to be ignoring contact forms, letters etc.

I am expecting too much for a response? Not good business practice if they don't! The bank won't do anything as its an authorised transaction in their eyes - so Visual Bride are doing no wrong. What I find strange is that there have been no updates/upgrades to the site in the last 18 months probably a lot longer and they are falling way down the google rankings. I think its wrong for them to be charging £14.99 per month for a service that isn't quite doing what it should be! I'm now wondering how many vogs are listed on there that are actually paying besides me lol to those that are still there albeit not paying their monthly subscriptions:rolleyes:

Have you tried updating your card details on their site. They obviously are out of business as my new advert directing people to my web sitehasn't been taken down. I changed my card details to an old card and have contacted my card company to stop payments. Will see what happens shortly. Its a shame because I too also had lots of good bookings from them when I first advertised with them.

Well he returned my call and was apologetic regarding lack of contact. I got the impression he now runs visual bride by himself and it doesn't get any real attention any more.
still hewas very helpful and my account closed. Thanks to everyone for their help.

Update

Simeon called me last night and all has been sorted - what a very lovely and pleasant guy. It was also nice that he thanked me for the last 18 or so months subscription and apologised that the site hadn't been updated since their web-designer left. All in all everything is fine now :)

yes I would second that, he was extreemly helpful and as you say most pleasant to deal with.
it seems a shame that the web site is being in effect run down.
