Was using a Sony GV-D300 with FAST.forward last night. Found out that using DV Player module with Capture Assistant module would crash Win 98 after every 8 to 20 control operations. Reboot was needed to get the system stable. Turned off WIN 98 virtual memory and the crashes appeared to have stop, although I have not test that configurtation extensively. The error mesage was:

CLIPPER caused an invalid page fault in
module DV0API.DLL at 016f:10026b1e.

System is a Athlon/650, Gigabyte GA-7IX motherboards with AMD chipset, 256 meg, ATI graphics board, Adaptec 2940 UW, generic NIC, etc.

FWIW: DPS EditBAY/Video Action did not like windows VM either, especially when playing projects longer than a few minutes.
