I've had B&Gs offering us a choice of reception venues to film at before they book, but had a call today that took me by surprise.
Wanted to book and we had to say sorry, we're already booked and recommended another company.
10 minutes later same client - What fridays are you free in that month, we're gonna change our wedding day.
Crikey! I am so humbled.

That's nothing.....someone called and asked us.... whom they should marry. :) (Sorry... joke. Well done branny!)

Nice one, it's good to be recognised

Get my test cards document, and cards for 625, 525, 720 and 1080. Thanks to Gavin Gration for hosting them.
Camera settings documents are held by Daniel Browning and at the EBU
My book, 'Circles of Confusion' is available here.
Also EBU Tech.3335 tells how to test cameras, and R.118 tells how to use the results.

Get yer coat Martin :D, though there's usually some smarty pants somewhere who can trump even the most outragious happenings.
A real first for us and I still feel so honoured that someone would prioritise any wedding video this highly.

haha, nice one branny - i've been lucky enough to have that before too, and I think you'll agree, it's a combination of feeling honoured...and extremely guilty ;) they've got you in mind over their own family and guests' diaries!

You're dead right. Having already booked her Church and reception, she's working her socks off to switch them and her guest's diaries to a day we're free. Switched the reception ok, but the (really grumpy) vicars on holiday so anxious times while she pops the question ;)

Good news today. The bride to be has managed to switch both the Church and reception dates to 2 weeks later than originally planned. Gonna spoil this couple . . .

Fantastic Arthur.....makes you feel really great doesnt it?

Had one bride a couple of weeks ago where we wasnt available on her date. She had already booked her reception venue but asked which dates we were free so she could match it up. The reception venue was fully booked up for the dates we gave her - so she completely changed the venue!!! How honoured are we?

Lordy, lordy, it gets better too. Which photographer do you prefer to work with?
A choice I'd like at every wedding. :)

I had a couple who were discussing me filming their wedding at a wedding fayre. We got to the date part and I said I was fully booked that date, shame really if it had been the week before I could have managed, I said. We can change dates they said and they came back the next day with everything changed (venue, tog, band) and then asked for discount - I felt I was in a reasonably strong position to decline.

It just shows - if I han't jokingly offered another day, we wouldnt have progressed, so it pays to be a bit bolshy . . is that the right word?

Hi "The Birdie"

Talking of wedding fayres, forgot to thank you for sending a couple my way during one when you were already booked. Unfortunately, so was I but the thought is very much appreciated. See you at the VOWS awards. Congrats!
